This section shares results and or data of some research projects.

Stochastic hydro-economic model.  The model can be used to determine allocation policies in large-scale, regional, water resources systems. The optimization problem is solved using SDDP (stochastic dual dynamic programming). The model has been used to (i) analyze the impact of new dams (Eastern Nile River Basin), (ii) study hydropower-to-environment water transfers (environmental flows) (Zambezi and Parana River Basin), (iii) optimize hydropower generation (Saguenay, Québec), (iv) assess the benefit of cooperation and coordination (Nile and Parana River Basins), etc.

The model is a Matlab toolbox. Note that Matlab must have access to either CLP or GUROBI (LP solvers).

To get a copy of the SDDP toolbox, please contact me.
